
Florence-Darlington Technical College secured a commanding 12-4 victory over Alpena Community College on Sunday in a five-inning game at the Fast Pitch Dreams Spring Classic. Larissa Siders led the charge with an outstanding performance, driving in five RBIs, including an inside-the-park home run and a double.
The Stingers' offense was on fire, collecting 15 hits in total. Camryn Jordan and Savannah Sherman also contributed two RBIs each, as FDTC capitalized on scoring opportunities throughout the game.
Mackenzie Kubas pitched a solid game, allowing just four hits and two earned runs over five innings while striking out 10 batters. The Stingers' defense was strong, committing only one error, in contrast to Alpena's four. Base-running was also effective, with Siders and Katelyn Church successfully stealing bases.
