Florence-Darlington Technical College claimed a 7-1 victory over USC Salkehatchie on Friday in Game 1 of their weekend series, fueled by a dominant fifth inning and strong pitching.

The Stingers tallied 11 hits, with Devin Mitchell leading the way, scoring two runs and driving in another with a double.
