Stingers lose in extras, snap win streak

In a thrilling extra-inning contest, the Stingers fell just short to the University of South Carolina Lancaster with a 17-16 loss.

FDTC's offense was robust, producing 19 hits and 12 RBIs through a balanced lineup. Notable performances included Josh Campos, who went 3-for-6 with a double, two stolen bases, and one RBI. Jackson Proctor contributed with a home run and three runs scored, while Devin Mitchell added four hits and three stolen bases, showcasing his speed on the bases.

Despite the offensive output, the Stingers' pitching struggled, allowing 17 runs on 19 hits. Elijah Sanders and Asher Goss combined to give up 11 runs in the early innings, setting a challenging stage for the rest of the bullpen. Peyton Rogers took the loss, allowing the deciding run in the 10th inning.

The game featured a back-and-forth battle with multiple lead changes, highlighted by home runs from Landon Mowery and Gabe Herold, but ultimately, the Stingers couldn't outlast the Lancers' offensive barrage.
