The Lady Stingers saw their Region 10 Tournament run come to an end with a 5-0 loss to second-seeded USC Union on Friday. The Stingers, the tournament's No. 4 seed, were held to just three hits in the shutout.
Savannah Sherman accounted for two of FDTC's hits, going 2-for-3 at the plate, while Jordan Perritt added the team's only other hit. Despite a solid outing from Mackenzie Kubas on the mound—who pitched six innings, allowing five earned runs on 10 hits—the Lady Stingers were unable to generate any run support.
Defensively, Florence-Darlington committed one error, charged to Sherman. Kubas faced 26 batters, issuing three walks but allowing no home runs. The team also left multiple runners on base, missing key opportunities to close the scoring gap.
